(The house of Yala's Landmark Pole-believed to be Yala's guardian spirit)
This is the place where Yala's landmark pole, which is worshippe by
the people there is kept. It is situated in the middle of the circle in front
of thecity hall. King Rama IX ordered it to be built in 1961 and the foundation
stone was actually laid on 21 November, 1961. The contruction was completed
in1962 and the King bestowed the landmark pole which was place there on 18
May,1962. The sourounding area is a beautiful park full of trees for people
to spend their leisure time. A celebration of this guardian spirit is held every year
